Hi! This is Gigi, and it’s my first time posting a blog so please be patient while I figure out how to do all the cool things. If you haven’t read my newsletters before, I am a missionary in YWAM with a heart for Mexico. During this season, I’m on base in Kona (Hawaii) as a teacher for the Foundation School. This school gives its students the foundation for a life with Jesus. Our job is to plant the seeds, Jesus will take care of watering and reaping fruit.

I work in the youngest classroom with two other teachers. The students are 4-7 years old. This week, it’s my turn to teach, and we’re learning all about the heart of a worshiper and what true worship is. I’m very passionate about this, because I’ve done a worship school and really fell in love with God through worship. The children are taking to it pretty well! They are so creative and most of them already have a heart for worship. My prayers have been for the couple of boys who think worship is boring and don’t quite get it. As I’ve said, though, my job is only to plant the seeds. I’ve also been invited to teach about worship next week in the class above mine (ages 7-8).

I’m so blessed and thankful to have such a good support system at home. My parents, church, and outside family and friends have really helped to carry me for these past couple of years that I’ve been in missions. This quarter ends at the end of June, and then I plan to travel home to stay for the summer. Until then, I would like to ask for some help. I have one more month to pay rent for. I need to raise just $400 by the first week of June. I’ve really been loving to work with these children and live with my friends, and I would love so much to finish and go home for a little while. I’m not worried or anxious about it, because God has provided for me everything I’ve needed for every step of my whole life so far.
